The “FOGLIE DI PIETRA” (patented) are external cladding for cement mounting, made from true natural stone, with the outer surface and edges with natural break and the back saw-cut (so as to keep the thickness between 2 and 4 cm). This material preserves the old-style appearance of the wall but with much less thickness and less than half the installation time. |
“Foglie di Pietra” is the first and only cladding of true stone formed of blends of natural stone cut thin, suitable for covering either internal or external surfaces. This stone is used primarily in restructuring and in the restoration of rural buildings with special architectural styles, but the type of product lends itself to use in any type of construction. The product class of cladding materials has grown rapidly in recent decades. The regulations on building safety, particularly anti-seismic construction criteria, have resulted over time in a great increase in reinforced concrete structures, which provide safety but often at the expense of aesthetics. This created a need to develop techniques for applying cladding to structures and walls of reinforced concrete that provide structural strength but little aesthetic value. The “Foglie of Pietra” project arose from this context, to obviate the limitations typical of thin artificial cladding and "counter-walls" with real stone. |
